Steven Goldstein Insights. Advancing your world together.
With 30 years of experience in public advocacy, strategic communications, management and teaching, I’m Steven Goldstein and I couldn’t be more different from a consulting firm that hands your work to junior staff. From start to finish, you’ll get my nonstop ideas and personal implementation, woven by my unshakable belief that results are everything.
After winning 10 Emmy Awards for news producing and writing, I became a producer for Oprah Winfrey. I’m the author of the HarperCollins book The Turn-On, praised by reviewers as “life-changing,” “psychologically provocative,” and one of the top five marketing books of the year. I’m currently a lecturer in communication at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Throughout my career in public service, including as a senior staffer in the U.S. House and Senate and executive director of state and national civil rights organizations, I helped to write or steer to passage more than 200 laws at the federal, state and local levels. My work has been the subject of two motion pictures, including a documentary that won the Oscar. The Associated Press has described my impact as “magical.”
I’ll bring you insights come from the real-world corridors of power and the cutting-edge theories of persuasion. I hold a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where I served as editor in chief of the Harvard Journal of Public Policy; a Master of Science from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism; and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where I won my first-year moot court competition. I received my B.A. summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University.
I have taught political science at Rutgers University and advocacy at Rutgers Law School.
My students’ reviews include:
“Steven is the best professor at Rutgers.”
“Original, fresh and invigorating.”
“I have never had a professor so passionate about not only the coursework but also the students’ learning process.”
“Professor Steven is simply the greatest professor who ever lived.”
Through my work with nonprofits, corporations, renowned leaders and in academia, I approach every job with passion, intellect and integrity. The bottom line? I strive day and night, 24/6, to make all the difference for my number-one client.
And that client is you.
